Savoury Chickpea with Greek Yoghurt


  • 1 cup chickpea seeds (soaked overnight)
  • Olive oil 2 Tbsp
  • 1 red onion diced
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper
  • fresh coriander and parsley chopped
  • 1cup Greek yoghurt
  • Eggs 
  • Sourdough toast


In a pan sauté red onion in olive oil until soft. Increase heat add chickpeas, garlic, cumin and paprika to pan mix together.

Season with salt and pepper allow to cook for ten minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat add fresh herbs.

To serve: place two heaped spoons of Greek yoghurt, add savoury chickpea to the yoghurt, poached eggs and sough dough toast.
