Creamed Quinoa Dessert
- 2 cup Sprouted Quinoa
- 1 Tbsp Raw Honey
- lemon zest
- 2 Tbsp Vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup coconut cream
- Pistachio nuts to garnish
This is possibly the easiest seed to sprout, just soak it over night in a bowl of water, in the morning drain off water through a sieve and rinse several times until the water runs clear. Leave this drained quinoa for the rest of the day, it will be ready to use by the evening just in time to make this delicious desert.
Place coconut cream, honey, vanilla, lemon zest and spices into your blender and blend until combined, now fold this through the sprouted quinoa until it is well mixed through.
Place in serving bowls and top with roughly chopped pistachio nuts.
This is a very rich desert and only need a small amount so great to serve with fresh fruits of the season, the 2 cups will serve 4.
Variation: you can put it into stemless wine glasses in layers of fresh fruit then some creamed quinoa and then more fruits etc.
